Minor Home Modification Services
Minor home modification services can help older individuals safely
remain in their own homes by modifying or making necessary repairs,
or by providing assistive devices or other equipment.
The goal of the program is to increase the individual's
independence and maximize their health and safety.
Home modifications can
include upgrading light bulbs or light fixtures, building a wheelchair
ramp, or installation of a smoke detector. Assistive devices and
equipment can include walkers, bath benches, and medical equipment
such as hospital beds.
If you qualify for the Minor Home Modification program, cost sharing
may be required to pay for part of the modifications or equipment.
