In-Home Services
The Southwest Washington Agency on Aging also works in tandem
with the state to provide in-home long-term care case management
services. This program is often referred to as “In-Home Services.”
In-Home Services is the largest publicly funded home care program
in the United States. The goal of In-Home Services is to help low-income
blind, elderly, or disabled persons remain safely in their own
homes and to prevent hospital or nursing home admissions.
Through In-Home services, qualified recipients
may receive assistance with daily tasks, such as:
bathing
dressing
cooking
cleaning
grooming
feeding
In order to receive these services, you must be eligible for Medicaid
as determined by Health and Recovery Services Administration, a division of DSHS
(Washington Department of Social & Health Services).
