Senior Information & Assistance
Senior Information &
Assistance is a free service that acts as a main access point for
a wide range of public and private resources that are available
to seniors, disabled adults, and their families. Our goal is to
promote and advocate for the independence and health of seniors.
Information and assistance can be given on the phone, in person,
or by email. All communication is handled in a confidential manner.
Functions of Senior Information & Assistance include information
giving, service referrals, advocacy, assistance and caregiver services,
and screening for possible case management or further assessments.
Senior Information & Assistance also performs program outreach
and maintains an extensive database of community resources that
serve the needs of seniors throughout the Southwestern Washington
area.
Examples of these resources include home and health care options,
medical and dental referrals, caregiving resources, information
on housing, respite, support groups, senior centers, transportation
options, nutrition programs, and assistance with obtaining prescription
medications. Information and literature on a wide variety of topics
can also be sent by mail.
