About Us
The Southwest Washington Agency on Aging (SWAA) is
the federally-designated agency on aging for the five southwest
Washington counties of Clark, Cowlitz, Wahkiakum, Klickitat, and
Skamania. It is one of thirteen agencies on aging in Washington
State, and is part of the state and national network of area agencies
on aging.
SWAA is sponsored by the Human Services Council, a 501(c)(3) umbrella

SWAA's administrative offices are located at the Human Services Council on Hazel Dell Avenue and NE 73rd Street in Vancouver, Washington. Several of our programs are also housed at this location. Specific programs

and Federal Family Caregiver Support Program
SWAA receives these funds through the Washington State Department
of Social and Health Services, via its Aging and Disabilities Services
Administration (ADSA), formerly Aging and Adult Services Administration
(AASA).
Private donations and trust funds are administered through agreements
with such organizations as the Alzheimer’s Association, the
Community Foundation for Southwest Washington, and private individuals
and businesses.
